Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has held a ceremony today at M. Mulah to mark the commencement of physical works of M. Mulah shore protection project and the Meemu MIFCO Port Development project.
The M. Mulah shore protection project was awarded to MTCC on 29th March 2021. Project works involve, construction of a 411.90m geo bag revetment. The value of the project is MVR 17.66 million and the project is to be completed within 105 days.
Meanwhile, the Meemu MIFCO Port Development project was awarded to MTCC on 11th February 2021. Project works involve, reclamation operations of 22,240cbm; dredging and excavation operations of 8,640cmb; construction of a 160m quay wall; a 68.90m revetment and installation of 3,200sqm pavement.
According to MTCC, the value of the MIFCO Port Development project is MVR 56.13 million. The project is to be completed within 300 days.
