MACL Honours 139 Employees for Years of Service

Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) recently acknowledged the dedicated service of 139 employees in a ceremony attended by Deputy Managing Director Thoha Ibrahim and other senior officials. The event celebrated the commitment and contributions of these employees.

During the ceremony, 139 employees were presented with a commemorative plaque to recognise their significant contributions:

  • 24 employees for 20 years of service
  • 69 employees for 25 years of service
  • 35 employees for 30 years of service
  • 6 employees for 35 years of service
  • 5 employees for 40 years of service

Additionally, 11 retiring employees were given mementoes for their contributions.

Thoha Ibrahim, Deputy Managing Director of MACL, highlighted the company’s commitment to providing a positive work environment, attributing the employees’ long tenures to this factor. He stressed the value MACL places on its employees.

Thoha also acknowledged the changing work trends, noting the preference for diverse work experiences in shorter timeframes. He emphasised the importance of employees giving their best effort, regardless of the duration of their service, contributing to personal growth.

Thoha urged employees to contribute towards making Velana Airport a source of pride for Maldivians. He highlighted the significance of the experience of long-serving employees in elevating Velana Airport to a regional-level status.

MACL, operating at Velana International Airport, employs approximately 4,000 individuals.
