Maldives Airports Company Ltd (MACL) has started issuing forms for employees to apply for the apartments at the 14-storey towers constructed under the government’s “HIYAA” housing program.
The airports company has also stated the requirements which must be met to be applicable for an apartment at the housing units. Approximately 312 units will be given to MPL employees, including 1 room and 2 rooms apartments.
The company has yet to announce the price list. However, MACL stated that the pricelist will be shared very soon and will be affordable and payment methods will be flexible for employees.
MACL stated that employees who have completed a 5 year tenure by the end of November 2017 will be eligible to apply for a 1 room apartment, whereas employees who have completed a 10 year tenure by the end of November 2017 will be able to apply for a 2 rooms apartment.
In addition to the above requirement, employees owning a land of 600sft or more in Male’ will not be eligible.
