A Concept Paper for Framework of Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Maldives and the People’s Government of Yunnan Province of the People’s Republic of China was signed on 2nd December.
At a ceremony held on last Monday, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Maldives, His Excellency Dr. Ali Naseer Mohamed, Secretary, Multilateral, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs signed the Concept Paper and on behalf of People’s Government of Yunnan Province, Madam Pu Hong, Director General at the Foreign Affairs Office signed the Paper.
The signing was witnessed by His Excellency Mr. Ruan Chengfa, Governor of Yunnan Province, China and Her Excellency Ms. Neeza Imad, Minister of State for Economic Development, Maldives.
The Concept Paper will further enhance cooperation and coordination between the two countries on bilateral, economic and commercial relations.
The signing ceremony was also attended by His Excellency Abdul Ghafoor Mohamed, Foreign Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Mariyam Seena, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ms. Maryam Bassama Farooq, Assistant Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
