According to popular Canadian travel booking website Kayak, Canadian tourist arrival count for the Maldives is expected to increase this year.
Kayak has stated that the Maldives has become increasingly popular in the Canadian tourist market. The website reports that there has been a 44% increase in the queries about the Maldives in their market. In addition to this, airlines have introduced special fares to the Maldives, and Kayak predicts that this will increase Canadian tourist arrival count.
Statistics reports from the Ministry of Tourism show that the tourist arrival count from Canada has increased over the years. More than 7,800 tourists have visited the Maldives by the end of November 2017. This is an 18% increase compared to the tourist arrivals from Canada by end of November 2016.
