Maldivian Announces Additional Flights to Trivandrum, Cochin 

In preparation for the upcoming school holiday season, Maldivian, the national carrier of the Maldives, has announced an expansion of its flight services to Trivandrum and Cochin, two popular destinations in India.

In response to the anticipated increase in travel demand, Maldivian has introduced additional flights to Trivandrum on May 6th, 10th, and 20th.

These flights depart Velana International Airport (VIA) at 19:35 hrs and aim to accommodate travellers seeking convenient options during the holiday period. Return flights are scheduled for 22:20 hrs on the same days.

Likewise, Maldivian has scheduled extra flights to Cochin on May 8th, 17th, and 21st, as well as June 19th. Departing from VIA at 19:35 hrs, these flights are intended to cater to the heightened demand for travel between the Maldives and Cochin. Return flights from Cochin are scheduled for 22:35 hrs, aligning with the departure times from VIA.

In addition to bolstering its international flight network, Maldivian has increased its domestic flight offerings to accommodate the surge in travel during the school holidays. An additional flight to Funadhoo has been scheduled for May 9th, 2024, departing from VIA at 06:15 hrs and returning at 07:40 hrs.

The expansion of flight services underscores Maldivian’s commitment to providing travellers with enhanced connectivity and flexibility, particularly during peak travel. By adding extra flights to critical routes such as Trivandrum and Cochin, the airline aims to facilitate seamless travel experiences for its passengers.
