Maldivian Gov’t Appoints Ata Tolga Unan as Honorary Consul in Brazil

The Government of the Republic of Maldives has officially named and appointed Mr Ata Tolga Unan as its Honorary Consul in the Federative Republic of Brazil today.

This appointment grants Mr Unan the role of representing the Maldivian government in Brazil for three years.

The official document, signed by Abdulla Shahid, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, certifies Mr Ata Tolga Unan’s appointment and outlines his consular responsibilities. 

Mr. Unan’s consular jurisdiction will encompass the Brazilian states of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Minas Gerais within the Federative Republic of Brazil. His consular office will be in Bragança Paulista, São Paulo, Federative Republic of Brazil. This diplomatic development is a significant step in the Republic of Maldives’ endeavour to enhance its global diplomatic network and engage with countries worldwide.

As Honorary Consul, Mr Unan will be authorised to carry out all consular functions permitted by the Government of the Republic of Maldives.
