Maldivian has issued a Request For Proposals (RFP) for the damp lease of a single A330-200 one a one-year contract beginning July 23, 2017.
According to tender documents seen by ch-aviation, eligible aircraft should not be older than fifteen years of age, should feature a two-class seating configuration, and offer a 120min ETOPS as well as a Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) of not less than 230,000kgs.
In return, the carrier is offering a minimum of 350 block hours per month for the duration of the contract. The aircraft will be deployed on a 2x weekly Malé-Beijing Capital return service alongside a 3x weekly return service between Male and Shanghai Pudong.
The deadline for submissions is June 9.
Aside from an extensive fleet of De Havilland Canada and Bombardier turboprops, Maldivian operates one A320-200 and one A321-200 on scheduled passenger flights to Thailand, China, India, and Bangladesh.
