State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) has concluded a management and skill development program for power plant owners.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, STELCO Managing Director Hussain Fahmi stated that if a boss cannot trust his subordinates in the workplace, the company will not keep them in the position.
“No matter how well-educated they are, I don’t believe there is anything that can be done. Without trust, you can’t even work for the people below you. That’s no way to give service, I believe.”
Fahmi added that the main objective of the program is to strengthen the relationship among the company’s employees and create an environment where they can trust each other. The program has shown that this has been achieved, he said.
37 participants completed the three-day training program. The program conducted sessions on management skills and the work of various STELCO departments.
