MATATO will be participating in Riyadh Fair and hosting a destination stand for Maldives in Saudi Arabia’s leading travel and trade event. Riyadh Travel Fair will take place in Al Faisaliah Tower Hotel, Riyadh, the capital Saudi Arabia, from 07th April to 10th April. This is the third year that MATATO is taking part in this event.
Organized by ASAS Exhibitions, Riyadh Fair is considered to be a significant annual event where the leading travel and tourism companies in Saudi Arabia and Gulf countries gather with exhibitors representing tourist promotion authorities and tourist companies at the Arab and International levels.
The Fair is considered a market for the introduction of tourist products, services and investments to the most significant tourist companies in the world.
The objective of the show is to provide opportunities for different tourist and travel organizations to introduce their activities and services, offer investment opportunities in the tourism sector within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Gulf Cooperation Council Countries to the Arab and International tourist investment leading companies and exchanging experiences in the field of tourism products, services, promotion and marketing. The Show gathers the entire effective and essential regional organizations in tourism under one ceiling, displaying specialized tourist presentations and provides special programs for travel agents and purchasers from different regions in the world.
Middle-east accounts for 3.4 percent of tourist arrivals in Maldives according to 2016 statistics and 15,700 tourists visited Maldives from Saudi Arabia, a 23% growth compared to 2015. Saudia started scheduled flights to Maldives in 2015.
MATATO intends to make best of this opportunity, and give the opportunity to Maldivian travel business to directly network with the Middle East market and other emerging markets around the world. This is the third travel exhibition MATATO is leading in 2017, having successfully participated at MATKA Fair, Finland and SATTE, India in January and February respectively.
