Mega Maldives had discontinued its services due to financial issues in May of 2017 while the company has been fined by 70 million rufiyaa, as they were unable to pay their taxes to the government tax authority.
According to the civil court verdict, Mega Maldives owes withholding tax and fines plus interest of 70 million to MIRA and they are required to pay back the fines within 12 months.
MIRA also has another case filed against Mega Maldives to collect the money that the Airline owes to their organization for ATF and the accumulated fines of 13 million rufiyaa.
