This is the first ready-to-drink beverage in the Maldives to switch to paper straws, thereby helping to start a new sustainability journey towards reducing single-use plastic in the island nation.
One of the main environmental benefits of using paper straws instead of plastic ones is that paper is biodegradable. This means that it can naturally be broken down and will not end up floating in our oceans or being swallowed by unsuspecting marine creatures.
