Ministry of Education has contracted three companies to construct classrooms in three schools as part of the efforts to expand the facilities.
Construction companies contracted by the Ministry of Education include Inarco Private Limited, Maris Construction Company Private Limited and Rasheed Carpentry and Construction Private Limited (RCC). The projects are financed under the Public Sector Investment Programme (PSIP).
Maris Construction Company Private Limited was contracted to construct a two-storey building with six classrooms in K. Huraa. The project which costs over USD 260,000 must be completed within 250 days.
Meanwhile, a two-storey building with six classrooms project in Gaafu Dhaalu Fiyoaree was handed over to Inarco Private Limited. The project has to be completed within 225 days and costs over USD 325,000.
Furthermore, RCC was contracted to construct an eight-storey classroom building in Centre for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) in Male’ City. The project is worth USD 2.140 million must be completed within 420 days.
