Ministry of Finance and Treasury has announced for interested parties to apply for the construction of 500 housings across 6 islands as part of the state’s social housing scheme.
Applications for bid submission for the housing units which will be developed under the design, build and contractor finance system are now open for both local and international companies.
500 housing units will be constructed across 6 islands including Sh. Komandoo, R. Maduvvari, B. Eydhafushi, Dh. Kuda Huvadhoo, Dh. Meedhoo as well as L. Gan. Under the social housing scheme, 200 housing units will be constructed in L. Gan, with 100 units in Eydhafushi, and 50 units each in the remaining islands.
Bid submission can include values for each island separately, or altogether. A fee of MVR 1,500 will be collected as a participation fee from each party who wishes to submit bid proposals. Fees will be collected from the Ministry until the 30th of May.
Bid submission will be open on 31st May.
