According to the press release, MMPRC seeks to engage with key stakeholders in the market, amplifying the impact of the Maldives tourism industry. Notably, MMPRC’s participation in MATTA underscores its commitment to promoting halal tourism, catering to the preferences of travelers in this region.

Highlighting the rich cultural tapestry of the Maldives is a focal point for MMPRC during this three-day affair. The Maldives pavilion will showcase cultural facets of the destination through activities and displays, including a cultural exhibition to offer visitors a glimpse into Maldivian craftsmanship, a presentation delving into the country’s history, customs, and traditions, and a holiday giveaway sponsored by Adaaran Club Rannalhi and Adaaran Select Hudhuranfushi.

Throughout the event, MMPRC states the company will provide attendees with the latest updates about the Maldives, spotlighting new products, market segments, and promotional offers.

While MATTA serves as a prime platform for industry partners to showcase their distinct offerings and services, MMPRC’s involvement in MATTA 2024 facilitates networking opportunities with industry professionals, according to the press release.

Recognizing the substantial potential of the Malaysian market, MMPRC underscores its commitment to nurturing this segment. Last year, Malaysia ranked 26th as a source market, contributing 13,551 arrivals to the Maldives. As of March 2024, the Maldives has welcomed 3,063 tourists from Southeast Asia.

MMPRC has devised an array of marketing initiatives tailored to this region, encompassing digital and social media campaigns, participation in key events, training programs, and outdoor campaigns throughout 2024. MMPRC states that these efforts aim to bolster arrivals and sustain the momentum of the Maldives’ appeal in the Malaysian and Southeast Asian markets.
