MPL Launches Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP System

Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) has officially launched the Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Management (ERP) System.

The ERP will enable MPL to streamline and automate its back-office operations, including finance and supply chain, for better business scalability, operational efficiency, cost reduction, and improved decision-making.

MPL’s key function is to ensure the efficient management and operation of government-owned ports and port facilities in the Maldives.  However, siloed data, outdated reporting tools and the manual processes of its legacy ERP system resulted in time-consuming reporting and prolonged decision making by management. To help overcome this and benefit from more integrated back-office systems, MPL decided to replace its siloed on-premise ERP software with Oracle Cloud ERP.

With Oracle Cloud ERP, MPL can standardize its business processes to help increase productivity, reduce costs, and improve controls. The addition of Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), part of Oracle Cloud ERP, can also help streamline financial processes, enhance business insights, and help to drive better decisions. MPL also selected Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) to help accelerate the integration with its existing systems and business processes to gain access to an interative visual application builder, which helps enable the creation and deployment of secure web and mobile applications in minutes.

Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP is a complete, modern, cloud ERP suite that provides companies with advanced capabilities, such as AI to automate the manual processes that slow them down, analytics to react to market shifts in real time, and automatic updates to stay current and gain a competitive advantage.
