Maldives Police Service has celebrated the Police Memorial Day 2019 in a ceremony held in Iskandar Koshi on 23rd July 2019.
Police Memorial Day is held to commemorate the deaths of the officers who lose their lives in the line of duty.
During his speech in the ceremony, Commissioner of Police spoke of the physical and mental abuse directed at Police officers and advocated against encouraging such actions.
A special website named “Digital Memorial” was also launched during the celebration.
