The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has reported significant progress on the ADh. Omadhoo Harbour Development Project with the delivery of its second shipment of concrete blocks, essential for the construction of the quay wall.
The installation of these blocks is currently in progress, with over half the task already accomplished at 51%.
The scope of this project includes 49,765cbm of dredging and excavation operations and 12,105cbm of channel dredging activities. In addition to the quay wall, which spans 346m, the project also encompasses the construction of a 398m breakwater, a 208m revetment, and a 150m x 2m concrete jetty. Other vital installations comprise a total harbour pavement area of 16,470sqm, a ramp, and the essential setting up of harbour lights and navigational aids.
The project is valued at MVR 66.96 million.
