Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has provided updates on their projects currently in progress.
Firstly, according to MTCC work on design and build of Adh. Hangnaameedhoo Harbor Development Project is well underway, with overall 67% project progress. The fourth shipment of precast concrete blocks required for quay wall construction have been delivered to project site on 10th February 2022. The construction of breakwater is currently ongoing, with 91% project progress as well.
The Adh. Hangnaameedhoo Harbour project consists of; dredging and excavation operations of 6,363.1cbm; construction of a 204m breakwater; a 266m quay wall; a 160m revetment; installation of 1,330sqm of paved area and installation of streetlights. This project is valued at MVR 29.1 million.
Next, work on Gdh. Thinadhoo Dr. Abdul Samad Memorial Hospital Development Project is also well underway, with overall 82% project progress. Construction of OPD Building and Labor Room Building are ongoing, with 99% completion.
Scope of project works include construction of the OPD building, construction of the Labor Wing building and renovation of the ER building. This project is valued at MVR 33.5 million.
Lastly, work on design and build of Dh. Hulhudheli Harbor Development Project is well underway, with overall 64% project progress. MTCC has completed installation of precast concrete blocks required for quay wall construction. Paving works are currently ongoing with 80% completion. The concrete works of the quay wall are also ongoing.
Scope of works for the project include dredging and excavation operations of 49,612 cbm; the construction of a 432m quay wall; a 337m breakwater; and a 252m revetment. Additionally, the installation of 1,645sqm of paved area and streetlights will also be undertaken. This project is valued at MVR 45.8 million.
