The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has provided an update on the progress of the GA. Villingili Harbour Development Project, in phase 3. They have received the fifth shipment of rock boulders required for this phase at the project site.
Dredging operations within the harbour basin have reached a completion rate of 75%. Additionally, the construction of the quay wall is currently at a completion rate of 89%.
Work scope includes dredging and excavation operations of 59,536.80 cbm harbour basin, a 275m breakwater construction, a 613m revetment, a 105m groyne, and a 685m quay wall.
The project is valued at MVR 107.86 million.
