The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company’s (MTCC) ADh. Omadhoo Harbor Development Project reached a pivotal phase this week with the delivery of the first shipment of quay wall blocks.
Quay wall block installation work has commenced at the site.
Included in the project’s scope are extensive operations such as dredging and excavation, channel dredging, and the construction of a quay wall, breakwater, and revetment.
Further enhancements include the installation of a concrete jetty, harbour pavement, and a ramp, as well as harbour lights and navigational lights, aimed at bolstering the harbour’s resilience, operational capacity, and safety.
The total value of the project stands at MVR 66.96 million.
