Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has signed an MOU with Maldives Police Service as a gold partner to carry out community safety partnership program activities.
At a ceremony held at Maldives Police Service headquarters on Thursday, the MOU was signed by MWSC’s Managing Director Hassan Shah and Deputy Commissioner of Police Ali Rasheed.
The main objective of ‘Community Safety Partnership Program’ conducted by Maldives Police Service is to enhance social awareness, develop responsible youth and create a society free of crimes. The theme for this year’s program is ‘I will take lead’; under which activities will be held for different age groups – with special focus on school students, youths and senior citizens.
In this regard, the participants of the program will be taught important life skills such as self-defense, first aid, fire safety and domestic house wiring. Together with these skills, participants will also have lessons on etiquette in public places, good qualities and leadership
