MWSC Successfully Completes Water and Sewerage Project in N. Fohdhoo

The Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has announced the completion and commissioning of the water and sewerage project in N. Fohdhoo.

Officials from the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure, alongside representatives from FENAKA and MWSC, recently visited the island.

The extensive project witnessed the establishment of a facility building designed to house a water plant in Fohdhoo. Additionally, the main network of the water pipeline has been laid, ensuring water and sewer connections to local households. Other notable developments include the installation of water storage tanks, the drilling of boreholes, and the addition of a pumping station, sea outflow, and reject line.

Furthermore, equipment essential for water analysis will be provided as an integral part of the project’s scope.

The pivotal water and sewerage project in Fohdhoo was entrusted to MWSC by the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure. With a budget pegged at MVR 58.15 million, the project aims to guarantee clean drinking water and secure sanitation facilities for the residents of Fohdhoo.
