Neyvaa 2 Unveils Official Event Poster!

Neyvaa 2, a new world record attempt organized by Freedive Maldives has unveiled its official event poster.

At a special ceremony held at CROSSROADS Maldives on 23rd August 2022, the poster was unveiled by the Chief Guest Ibrahim Rasheed Aboobakuru, State Minister for Tourism.

Resort participants, resort GM’s, sponsors and partners were in attendance.

During the ceremony it was also announced that CROSSROADS Maldives is the hosting island for Neyvaa 2.

This record-breaking attempt will feature the most number of people performing static apnea simultaneously on 01st October 2022. Organized to commemorate Golden Jubilee – 50 years of tourism in the Maldives, this event will promote the passion for free driving and highlight Maldives on the map for free divers worldwide. Neyvaa 2 will execute static apnea as a group performance from all over the Maldives with multiple locations across the archipelago at the given time.

Neyvaa 2 is also focusing on the climate change awareness. The event uses the hashtag #1breath4theoceans and aims to raise awareness on the global climate crisis affecting our island destination.

Participant registrations are now open for the event and all those who wish to register from the participating resorts for the event can now start the registrations by contacting the resort HR departments.
