On both Eid Al Fit’r and the World Environment day, no vehicles shall be ridden on the roads of Male’ as per the Male’ City Council. Eid Al Fit’r is to be 4th of June while Environment Day is 5th of June.
The council highlighted that Male’ is a crowded city and this decision was made after considering the safety of all senior citizens and children who would be on the Male’ roads on those days.
Hence, from evening 1600 hrs to 1800 hrs on 4th and 5th June, no vehicles shall be ridden on the roads of Male’ as per the declaration.
