Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) has revealed the names of those who failed to submit tax returns and make tax payments. According to MIRA, a total of 396 individuals have been named in the list published by the authority.
MIRA also declared that those who pay their taxes will be removed from the list of people who have not filed tax returns. MIRA further noted that the amount will be divided into sections under the installation plan if taxpayers are unable to pay their taxes in full during this time.
According to MIRA’s enforcement policy, additional steps have been taken to recoup unpaid taxes and other funds, the agency revealed in a statement. MIRA has also advised those who haven’t yet submitted their tax returns to do so, make their payments, or work out a payment arrangement with MIRA.
