President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has decided to establish a ‘National One Stop Service’ under one roof.
The President made the decision after discussing a proposal submitted by the Economic Ministry during a cabinet meeting held at the President’s Office on 21st December 2021.
The President’s Office did not disclose any further details regarding the matter. Most business registration and other business related services are currently provided online through a portal maintained by the Economic Ministry. However, many other government agencies provide their online services are provided separately, not under one roof.
Earlier this year, the ‘Gov.mv Message’ platform was launched in September, designed to digitally connect the government and the people. This platform allows people to submit public complaints and documents to the government from anywhere where internet is available.
