Ooredoo Maldives has announced that Color Run will be held in Addu City this June, in partnership with Ministry of Youth, Sports & Community Empowerment. The event is scheduled for 21st of the month and invites participants of all ages to join in the fun.
This special announcement was made at a special press conference held this morning, attended by the Minister of Youth, Sports & Community Empowerment, Hon. Ahmed Mahloof and the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Ooredoo Maldives, Najib Khan.
Minister of Youth, Sports & Community Empowerment, Hon. Ahmed Mahloof said: “I have had the pleasure of taking part in Ooredoo Color Run. It’s a wonderful opportunity to do something healthy, that too in an extremely joyous atmosphere. It gives me great happiness that Ooredoo Color Run will be hosted next in Addu City, and it is my sincere hope that people of all ages join the event.”
CEO and MD of Ooredoo Maldives, Najib Khan said: “We are truly excited to host our next Color Run in Addu City, as part of our efforts to enables more communities from across the Maldives to be part of this fun filled experience. The beauty of Ooredoo Color Run is that anyone can join in, whether you’re a first time runner, an expert marathoner or anyone looking to have a great time with family and friends. We look forward to a great day in the beautiful city of Addu.”
Ooredoo Color Run is a simple 5K with lots of color and non-stop fun, which is open for everyone over the age of six. Each kilometre covered during the run is rewarded with a burst of color powder at the color station. As the run is not a timed event, participants can choose to walk, jog, run or dance to the finish line. Awards are also given for the Most Entertaining Runner and the Runner with the Best Costume, with fantastic prizes for the winners.
