Ooredoo Maldives Concludes its Annual General Meeting of 2022

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Ooredoo Maldives was successfully concluded on Monday, 7th March 2022 at 20:30 hrs. The AGM was held both physically and virtually; physically at the Event Hall of Crossroads Maldives and virtually through the Online Meeting Management System “FahiVote” of the Maldives Securities Depository Company Pvt Ltd (MSD).

The AGM was attended by 1,202 shareholders, with 101 shareholders being present in person and another 1,101 shareholders being present by proxy. The total number of shares represented at the AGM was 135,970,377 (hundred and thirty five million nine hundred and seventy thousand three hundred and seventy seven) shares which represents 92% of the total issued shares.

According to the published Agenda of the AGM, the shareholders approved the Minutes of the Annual General Meeting held in 2021 (the Annual General Meeting held on Tuesday, 2nd March 2021), the Audited Financial Statements with the Auditor’s Report for the year 2021, the Company’s Directors Report for the year 2021, appointment of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) as the Auditors for the year 2022 and their remuneration. The Shareholders also approved MVR 2.70 per share as the dividend for the year 2021. To represent the general shareholders on the Board of Directors of the Company, the general shareholders voted and elected Ms. Fareeha Shareef for a second term. The Company also announced that the current Board of Directors have equal gender representation on the Board, which is a significant milestone for the Ooredoo group’s continued efforts to support gender diversity across its footprint.
