The Summit will look into how the industry is ever changing and how the big and well-funded have had to compete with the more specialized yet smaller operators and destinations. This gives every operator or a destination a perfect playing field to engage their stakeholders, understand their strengths and whom to target their products to. It is widely claimed that those who champion technology alongside understanding the modern traveller will be rewarded in the current tourism market share. Such an initiative is TTM- Travel Trade Maldives which is organized by Maldives Getaways. TTM team will be attending the PATA Annual Summit 2017 to promote and gain exposure towards TTM by which they hope to establish a platform in which over 100 resorts are able to sit down with over 150 tour operators, travel agents, media and PR firms to discuss potential business interests in a first of its kind 2-day event in the Maldives.
