President Muizzu Appoints New Members to PCB

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Hassan Mughnee and Hamdhy Ageel to the Privatization and Corporatization Board. The appointments were made under the authority granted by Law No. 3/2013 (Privatization, Corporatization, Monitoring, and Evaluation of Government Businesses Act).

Hassan Mughnee, holding a Master of Business Administration with a major in International Business (Finance & Economics) from Brandeis International Business School, Massachusetts, USA, has been appointed as a board member. He has previously served as the Minister of State for Environment, Climate Change, and Technology and held the position of Managing Director at the State Electric Company (STELCO).

Simultaneously, Hamdhy Ageel, a graduate of Australia’s Curtin University with a Master of Commerce, has been appointed President of the Privatization and Corporatization Board. Ageel has experience as the Managing Director at Maldives Road Corporation and Fuel Supply Maldives.

These appointments align with the provisions of Law No. 3/2013.
