Maldives Transport & Contracting Company has announced that the company has scheduled to commence quay wall construction works at N. Landhoo Harbor within the coming week. MTCC’s barge is now travelling to N. Landhoo with precast concrete blocks required for the quay wall construction.
Scope of works for the project include dredging and excavation operations of 25,000cbm; the construction of a 256m quay wall; a 401m breakwater; and a 60m revetment. Additionally, the installation of navigation lights, streetlight and installation of 1,280sqm of paved area will also be undertaken.
According to MTCC, the value of the project is MVR 32.4 million.
