Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has announced that the design and build of R. Angolhitheem Harbor is well underway, with overall 50% project progress.
The company has completed the construction of quay wall on 24th June 2021. The installation of harbor pavement is currently ongoing, with 55% completion.
The R. Angolhitheem Harbour project consists of dredging and excavation operations of 42,615 cbm; construction of a 221m breakwater; a 166m revetment; a 91m quay wall; installation of 1110sqm paved area, installation of harbor lights and navigation lights.
According to MTCC, the value of the project is MVR 40.7 million.
