Maldives Immmigration has announced starting today, the issuance of Seafarer Identification Documents (SIDs) has begun. Applicants who have already submitted their requests for SIDs are advised that they can collect their documents from the 1st floor of Velaanaage until 6 pm. today.
For those unable to collect their SIDs today, starting next week on regular working days, the collection process will be in full swing. QueueBee tokens will be distributed from 8:30 am to 5 pm, facilitating a smooth and organized card collection experience for all applicants.
Seafarers seeking to obtain the Seafarers Identity Document are requested to complete the SID form. Once the form is duly filled, applicants must submit the necessary materials mentioned in the form to the Ministry. The materials can be sent via email to maritime@transport.gov.mv.
