Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has revealed that the work on the design and build of Sh. Foakaidhoo Harbour is underway, with overall 41% project progress.
The second shipment of rock boulders required for the breakwater construction has been delivered to the project site.
The Sh. Foakiadhoo Harbour project consists of new harbor basin dredging operations of 39,995cbm; existing harbor basin dredging operations of 1800cbm; channel dredging operations of 4000cbm; construction of a 507m breakwater; a 100m revetment; a 464m quay wall; 2,320 sqm of paved area and installation of navigation lights and streetlights.
According to MTCC, the value of the project is MVR 52.7 million.
