SriLankan Airlines has appointed industry veteran Fawzan Fareid as its new Regional Manager, overseeing operations in India, Bangladesh, and Nepal. With this appointment, the airline seeks to bolster its position and expand its reach within these key markets.
Fareid possesses a rich background within the aviation industry, having served Sri Lanka’s national carrier for 26 years in various roles. His international experience began in 2005 as Area Manager in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He has since held Country Manager positions in Qatar, Sri Lanka, Japan, South Korea, the Maldives, and Bangladesh. Fareid brings a focus on business development, strategic planning, and customer engagement to his new position.
In his new role, Fareid will oversee all facets of SriLankan Airlines’ operations within India, Bangladesh, and Nepal. His responsibilities will include leading sales and marketing strategies, improving the customer experience, and building partnerships with important regional stakeholders.
