Total State Spending on COVID Health & Social Efforts at MVR 1,990.6 Million

The latest Weekly COVID-19 Spending Report publicised by the Finance Ministry revealed that as of 05 August 2021, the state has spent MVR 1,990.6 million on COVID related health and social efforts.

As of 05 August 2021, total spending towards COVID-19 health and social efforts stood at MVR 1,990.6 million; a 0.2% increase from the week before. In this review period, 58.8% of total health and social spending was committed-spending.

In terms of week-on-week spending, Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital registered the highest spending compared to its peers. The spending was mainly on Supplies and Requisites for Service Provision.

The next significant spending was by Ministry of Health. Over the review period, other agencies only reported small incremental changes in their spending.

As of 05 August 2021, total COVID-19 economic response spending stood at MVR 1,772.8 million; unchanged from the week before.
