Tree Top Hospital has launched the Breast Cancer Screening Program to commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
This program will be led by Dr. Neeza Haleem, Consultant General Surgeon, and Dr. Nazahath Abbas, Consultant Radiologist throughout the month of October.
It is considered a significant precautionary measure that women over 20 years conduct regular clinical breast examinations whilst women over 40 years are recommended to conduct a breast check-up, including mammography every year. Tree Top Hospital recommends guests to undergo regular breast check-ups as early signs of breast cancer often go unnoticed.
Through this Breast Cancer Screening Initiative, an ultrasound scan of both breasts will be done under the specialist care of our radiologist, followed by a specialist consultation with Dr. Neeza Haleem.
Prior to the specialist consultation, in some cases, the radiologist may refer for an additional mammogram based on the findings of the ultrasound scan.
The total price for this program is at MVR 835.00, whilst an additional MVR 165.00 may be charged if a mammogram is required.
