President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has forwarded the names of two Supreme Court nominees for Parliamentary approval. The nominees are Uz Ahmed Muthasim Adnan and Uz Husnu Suood.
Uz Ahmed Muthasim Adnan was nominated as the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court as per Article 147 of the Constitution and Uz Husnu Suood as a Supreme Court Justice as per Article 148 of the Constitution. The nominations were sent to Parliament on 1 December 2019.
