UNGA President-Elect Abdulla Shahid Appoints Ambassadors Thilmeeza, Naidu to Team

President-elect of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly, Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid has made two appointments to his team.

Shahid who won a resounding victory in the PGA elections on Monday has said that he planned to start work immediately.

Speaking on Twitter on Thursday, he announced the appointment of Thilmeeza Hussain as the Special Envoy of the PGA and K Nagaraj Naidu as his Chef de Cabinet.

Following his win on Monday, Shahid had stated that it was an honour to have the opportunity “to serve for the betterment of people, planet and prosperity”.
