Urbanco is offering apprenticeship opportunities to those wishing to develop new skills and gain work experience. This program is designed to provide participants with practical training in addition to their education, and offers a total of 100 seats, with 82 available for the public and 18 for Urbanco employees.
The apprenticeship program is divided into six areas, which include Fisheries and Agriculture, Social Sector, ICT, Transport sector, Tourism sector, and Construction Sector. The program will offer 12 jobs in total, with opportunities to specialize in various technical tasks such as computer hardware, welding, heavy vehicle operations, and construction site supervision.
The apprenticeship program will run for a period of six months and provide participants with a special allowance of MVR 6,000 each. This will give them the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in their chosen field and develop the skills needed for a successful career.
Interested candidates can apply for the program starting from Tuesday until May, and the program runs from June to November. Upon completion, participants will receive certificates and selected candidates will have the chance to work at Urbanco.
