VIA Announces Partners for Air Service World Congress 2024

Velana International Airport (VIA) announced its partners for the upcoming Air Service World Congress (ASWC) 2024 during a special event at the Noovilu Seaplane Terminal. Key figures attended the event, including the CEO and Managing Director of Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL), deputy managing directors, senior management, and esteemed partners.

Mr. Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed, CEO and Managing Director of MACL, emphasised the significant role of Velana International Airport in the nation’s progress. “President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has prioritised the development of Velana International Airport with a visionary master plan. This plan will drive national prosperity through aviation development, which aligns with the growth of our tourism sector. Velana International Airport will be at the core of this transformation, expanding alongside our booming economy. This expansion will attract more connections between Velana and the world.”
