VP Faisal States That Working from Office Does Not Necessarily Improve Productivity

The Vice President, Faisal Naseem stated that the utilization of technology in order to fulfil our routine tasks and that it is not necessary to be seated at a desk in order to improve the employee’s productiveness. He voiced his opinion whilst speaking at the opening of the second National Human Resource Convention and EXPO 2022.

At the event, the Vice President stated that the pandemic had taught us many lessons and challenged every aspect of how we work. Moreover, he emphasized that innovative discussions on best practices regarding human resources and skills development are more important now than ever.

He further stated that employees’ mental health and well-being are as important as their physical safety and that we must learn from the pandemic as we navigate our return to normalcy.

Faisal emphasized that it is critical that our young workforce has opportunities to build their confidence, leadership, and technical skills in the workplace. He highlighted that the best investment an organization could make is in the development of its human capital.

In this regard, Faisal encouraged all participants to step in to ensure a safe and conductive environment for their employees, stating that they were all-in well-suited positions to guide the workforce to help them reach their full potential and ensure not only the success of their organization but also the nation.

The Maldives Association of Human Resource Professionals (MAHRP) organized the two-day convention, featuring renowned local and international keynote speakers. I t is themed “Transformation and Culture-Future of Human Capital.”
