The 2nd largest airline carrier in Italy, Air Italy has included Maldives in their travel destination schedule for this winter. Flights will be chartered from Milan Malpensa Airport to Velana International Airport.
Air Italy’s services would be provided to Maldives three times every week on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The airline is also planning to travel to Zanzibar and Mombasa in this year’s winter season.
Italy is known to be one of the oldest and traditional markets for Maldivian tourism industry. In the first three months of 2019, more than 52,000 tourist have visited Maldives from Italy which is a growth of roughly 27% compared to 2018.
