Corporate Maldives Business Expo has successfully concluded on 30th September 2019.
Attracting over 2,100 professionals and over 80 business exhibitors, Business Expo focused on targeted learning, networking, building valuable new business relationships, and finding partners that help business owners to take their business to next level. Exhibiting companies were provided the opportunity to meet and interact as well as relay information regarding their business, products and services.
During the Expo, four business summits took place as follows; Maldives Young Entrepreneurs’ Summit, Maldives Women Entrepreneurs’ Summit, Maldives Tech Summit, and Maldives Finance Professionals Summit.
The Young Entrepreneurs’ Summit and the Tech summit took place on day 1 of the Expo. The Young Entrepreneurs’ summit kicked off at 2 pm with a keynote speech by Iyaz Waheed, the President of Universal foundation. The Tech summit followed the same day at 8 pm where the keynote speech was delivered by Hussain Afeef, the president of MAHRP.
Day 2 began with the Maldives first-ever Women Entrepreneurs summit at 2 pm with Mariyam Waheedha, Honorary Council of Sweden in the Maldives as the keynote speaker. Maldives Finance Professionals summit’s keynote speaker was Juliana Roth, the associate director at the Asia School of Business.
All the summits had two-panel discussions where prominent industry figures shared their success stories, opportunities and challenges faced as well as their advice for youth and the future of the industry.
The Expo was inaugurated by Minister of Communications, Science and Technology, Mohamed Maleeh Jamaal at Dharubaaruge on 29th September at 2 pm. The Minister for Women and Gender Equality Shidhatha Shareef also visited the Expo on the 2nd day and attended the Women Entrepreneurs summit.
Both local and international sponsors contributed significantly to the success of the Corporate Maldives Business Expo. The Gold partners for the event were Ooredoo, STO, M7 Print, Onestop, Life Support, Object, and Eches Consultancy.
Corporate Maldives informs that this annual event will be held along with the 4th edition of the Gold 100 Gala. The “GOLD 100 GALA” is recognized as the most prestigious and exclusive invite-only business networking event in the Maldives where the leading 100 companies are awarded. These 100 companies are selected annually from among 13,500 companies registered in the country and will be presented with special awards in recognition of their exemplary work and success.
