The Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) will conduct an exhibition between April 27 and 29 this year in the Maldives to boost exports from South India.
A statement issued by the organisation here said that India’s exports to the Maldives had increased from $152 million in 2014-15 to $178 million in 2015-16, showing 17 per cent growth. The Maldives is one of the emerging business hubs for investment in various sectors and there is immense potential to increase exports from Kerala. The major items of exports from India to the Maldives are agriculture and poultry produce, textiles, drugs and medicines, a variety of engineering and industrial products, and building materials.
The three-day show is being organised by FIEO with the support of the Union Ministry of Commerce and the Indian embassy at Male. It is expected to have participation from exporters from the South. Apart from B2B meetings with potential importers, the show will also be thrown open to the public to help them understand Indian products. Participation in the fair is highly subsidised and for details contact:fieosr@fieo.org Mob: 9444191119
