The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has reported that the HA. Muraidhoo Harbour Development Project is currently at a 76% overall completion rate.
The third shipment of rock boulders has been delivered to the project site, and breakwater profiling work has reached 90% completion. Dredging work for the new entrance channel has been completed.
The project includes dredging operations of 32,721 cubic metres for the new harbour basin and 3,817 cubic metres for the channel. It also involves the construction of a 232-metre quay wall, a 395-metre breakwater, a 202-metre revetment, 50-metre groynes, and the installation of 1,933 square metres of harbour pavement. Additionally, the project includes the construction of a ramp, a concrete bridge, and the installation of streetlights and navigational aids.
The total value of the project is MVR 37.69 million.
