The Embassy of the Czech Republic in New Delhi has officially opened for submissions for its Small Scale Projects (SSP) for 2025. Eligible organizations from the Maldives, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka are invited to apply for funding under the Czech Republic’s Development Cooperation initiative.
SSPs are vital for bilateral development cooperation, aiming to address critical local issues and create positive change in developing countries. The priority areas for 2025 include good democratic governance, sustainable natural resource management, agriculture, and rural development, aligned with several UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Eligible applicants include NGOs, non-profits, social businesses, and civic society organizations. Projects must be implemented between April and October 2025, with funding ranging from CZK 200,000 to CZK 500,000 (approx. USD 8,500 to USD 21,000). Notably, the funding cannot be allocated to political parties, universities, or state institutions. Co-financing is encouraged but not mandatory.
Applications must be submitted in both hard and soft copies to the Czech Embassy by October 1, 2024. Evaluation will take place from October to December, with successful projects announced in January 2025. Contracts will be signed by March, and the project implementation period will conclude by September 30, 2025. Final reports and financial documents must be submitted by November 6.
