The Maldives is being prominently represented at the TTG Travel Experience 2024 in Rimini, Italy, by the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC). Running from 9th to 11th October, the event is a key opportunity for promoting the Maldives as a premier travel destination within the Italian market.
In collaboration with 64 representatives from 25 companies, MMPRC is showcasing the allure of the Maldives, building on its reputation as a highly sought-after holiday destination for Italian travellers. The Maldives has long maintained strong ties with Italy, one of its most significant source markets, with 106,946 arrivals recorded by 1st October 2024. This makes Italy a crucial part of the Maldives’ tourism strategy.
The TTG Travel Experience, one of Italy’s foremost travel trade events, brings together international tourism boards, tour operators, airlines, and accommodation providers. Through direct engagement with key stakeholders, such as travel agents, tour operators, and media, MMPRC is bolstering awareness of the Maldives’ appeal.
MMPRC is actively implementing strategies to sustain and grow the Italian market, including familiarisation trips for media and influencers, as well as digital campaigns. Upcoming initiatives, such as the “Discover Maldives Webinar Series: Italy Edition,” will further strengthen this relationship and ensure the Maldives remains a top choice for Italian travellers.
