The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, Dr. Abdulla Khaleel, has departed for an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman. The visit, scheduled from 10 to 13 December 2024, is being conducted at the invitation of His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Albusaidi, Foreign Minister of Oman.
During the visit, Minister Dr. Khaleel will hold high-level discussions with his Omani counterpart to review the strong bilateral ties between the two nations and explore potential areas for future cooperation. Key topics are expected to include trade, investment promotion, and other mutually beneficial opportunities.
The itinerary also includes meetings with senior officials from the Omani Government to further enhance collaboration across various sectors. These discussions aim to strengthen the longstanding partnership between the Maldives and Oman, reinforcing their commitment to shared goals and interests.
Minister Dr. Khaleel is accompanied on this visit by a delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including Dr. Hala Hameed, Secretary for Bilateral Affairs; Ms. Fathimath Naeema, Senior Under Secretary; and Mr. Mohamed Shujau, Assistant Director.
This visit reflects the Maldives’ dedication to fostering closer ties with Oman and advancing cooperative efforts for the benefit of both nations.
